**OUR DANCE STORY OF FOUR DECADES**

Mario Raiti has been the proud owner of Rio Dance Studio for over 25 years, transforming it into one of Melbourne's most trusted and popular dance schools. Rio was established in 1981 by Fabian Gheri and former ABC presenter Maureen DeLacy - hostess of the popular television show THAT'S DANCIN'.
Rio Dance Studio has remained dedicated to helping people of all ages and skill levels discover the joy of movement and rhythm. Under Mario's guidance, the studio has evolved into Melbourne's pivotal centre for social dancing.
Rio Dance Studio is proudly the only dance school in Australia to be awarded three times by the Australian Dancing Society for "Outstanding Service" and the "Industry Promotion Award" from DanceSport Australia.

Adult Group Classes are a lot of fun allowing you to meet new dancing friends in a fun filled atmosphere. We teach a variety of dances in our group classes with a focus on two styles in each class - 30min on each. Once a month we change styles giving you an opportunity to learn a variety of dances. We welcome you to book a Free Trial Class. This will give your child a chance to try one of our classes and see if it's the kind of hobby they would like to pursue. Introducing your children to dance, especially at a young age, has a variety of health, physical and mental benefits.

Dancing is an aerobic form of excercise. Apart from improving cardiovascular health, learning to dance improves posture, co-ordination, flexibility, muscle tone, stamina and balancing skills. Social skills are strengthened through meeting new dancing friends and working together as a team. Presenting our students with opportunities to perform their new skills via showcases and examinations aids the development of self-confidence and is constructive towards learning how to achieve goals through dedication and focus.
